About Us

Harmonic Hues LLC was founded in 2024 by longtime educator Dr. Ian Schimmel, alongside a team of educators, counselors, and mental health professionals. Together, they shared one vision: to create accessible tools that help children understand and manage their emotions through rhythm, art, breathing, and affirmations.

Our first product, Artful SEL, is the result of years of classroom experience, educational research, and collaboration with professionals who work directly with children every day.

Our Belief

We believe that every child deserves the tools to recognize and regulate their emotions—not just at school, but at home and in everyday life. Social-emotional learning isn't just for the classroom. It's a lifelong skill that empowers children to build stronger relationships, focus better, and handle challenges with confidence.

Our Mission

Our goal is to give families and educators easy-to-use, research-based tools to help children:

-Understand and name their feelings

-Use calming strategies like breathing and rhythm

-Build emotional resilience through creative expression

By combining art, rhythm, and neuroscience-backed strategies, we’re creating new ways for kids to develop self-awareness, mindfulness, and emotional balance.
